I support Utah’s abortion law. This law outlaws elective abortion but has important exceptions when the mother’s life or health is at risk and when she has been raped.

Key bills I have supported include House Bill 467 (2023) which clarified how we balance the prohibition of elective abortion while making sure that the exception will be available to the pregnant mother when her health is in danger or when she has been raped. House Bill 560 (2024) will help resolve the ongoing lawsuit.

Support for services when women are pregnant is also vital. I have advocated for women to have basic health care coverage during pregnancy. I have successfully supported pregnancy help for high-risk women, especially those struggling with addiction during their pregnacies.
