Lowering Taxes for Utah:

A Record of Fiscal Responsibility

The legislature has lowered taxes each of the last four years and I have been proud to support those measures. We have cut the income tax rate each of those years, including the largest tax cut in the history of the state of Utah in the 2023 session.

Additional tax cuts I have supported include:

• reducing the number of people who are required to pay taxes on their Social Security.

• granting deferral on property taxes to the elderly so they don’t have to risk losing their homes.

• child tax credits so that working parents with children can see some benefit from the tax cuts even when they are not in the upper income brackets.
